Googled myself
That I did.
Not my real self but this here nick.
Doing so I discovered that not only does Google know 'DCveR' but it does know several DCVER's.
My first thought was it is a little weird how different people come up with the idea for such a nick. On the other hand I guess it's normal for different people to have the same name.
No, I will not change this nick.
Yes, I've seen some of the others and they are pretty disappointing.
So? I have met and idiot named Albert, no relation whatsoever to Einstein.
People having the same name means nothing... Except maybe that I was not as original as I thought.

Lol... nice. My blog name is big right... but lemme try.
I actually ran into a blog with the same name as mine.
Skinny Legs and All.
I googled my blogname and came up with zilch. Not even my blog. I must not be much of a big hitter, despite the excellence exuding from my blog, my persona and my aura. Apparently google doesn't know everything!
Last I checked, I was still unique. Searching for Viking054 brings up my blog, and every stupid thing I've said on any other blog. It's nice, because my real name is probably one of the most common names in America... If you search for that, you'll never find me...
Did you check the DATES their blogs started? Maybe they copied you.
I found another Guyana Gyal...she started AFTER me. Who knows! I know Guyanese are a nation of copycats...
tacit: The idea of googling my nick was not very original either...
anoop: try with 'anoop'
phoenix: even you? the exact name of your blog? WOW!
bunny jo: the nasty little daemon inside yells:"tell her she is unique"! Oh, and he adds: "tell her also: thank God".
Actually I didn't bookmark your blog after the first time I read it and I found you again with Google.
viking: the numbers help staying unique, but I don't like using nicks with numbers
GG: Nope. But I've started using this nick in a MOO game many years ago.

I don't care for the numbers either... I picked them long ago though, they're a part of me now.
It's kind of funny how I sometimes think I'm being original only to find out I'm not. Then it makes me wonder if I saw the idea elsewhere and buried it deep into my subconscious only to regurgitate it as an original idea later.
My blogname came up when i googled it in "quotes"
Being famous doesn't strike me as something I would really want though either.
I often wondered if anyone I actually know would get a hold of my blog, I don't really share that I do it.
I like this blog though. It's interesting, and I'm never quitre sure what it's going to be about!
Thanks!
Bent: There is something even more weird than that. I've got this friend who can come up with the same ideas I do. Once, a long time ago, we had two exams that were exactly the same, same order of answers, same errors, everything seemed copied. The thing is we were in different buildings and even different streets while taking the test. And back then there were no cell phones.
Lisa: Well, I'll share a secret with you: me neither. Sometimes I think I really should write about something and I forget it (old age setting in maybe) or something else comes up.
Some friends know about my blog, some even read it. They seldom comment here. Sometimes they comment off the blog. Don't ask why, I dunno.
