LAst night's dinner.
Not sure if this will be easy or difficult to guess.
The color should be a very strong hint, but it didn't come out as red as usual...

Now, then! Is it my usual Friday Late Night Feast? Chicken Tikka...
Have we got mango chutney on the side?
It is nearly 10am and my stomach is already rumbling!
Like the plate, too.

kris: Guess you are not a big fan of Indian food...

cream: Not fair cream! You are absolutely right! Basmati rice, chicken tikka and mango chutney, I had the red sauce on the side but decided to take the picture before adding it to the meat.

isis and ale: One out of three. Better luck next time :)

viking: So you do trust the pros! ;)

GG: Maybe I'll take a picture of a vegetarian dish one of these days.

tall glass: Sometimes I make a kind of chutney with bell peppers, onions and some hot red peppers.

What I don't understand is this. How does Cream know EXACTLY that it's chicken tikka and mango chutney, and not, for example, fried chicken and apple sauce. How?

Yes! Yes!
Actually, the thing that should have given it away to the amateurs was in the script. "...but it didn't come out as red as usual.."
Come on, guys! You must pay attention!
I love Indian food! Gosto de comida indiana!

cream: Talking of which, I think I figured it out: not enough time standing between seasoning the chicken pieces and cooking.

Yes, to get the chicken pieces to go red, they need to be marinaded for at least two hours.
But to be honest, I don't like psychedelic red Tikka. Too plastic!
Light orange is the in-colour!

bees knees: Food, just food. You'd much prefer liquids, right?

cream: The problem was this time I didn't got home in time to prepare the marinade and wait for it.

ale: Then keep trying. :P

lou: At first I would e-mail the recipe to those who got the right answers, but I guess I can re-think this... Thanks for the idea.

tall glass: I'm having pasta tonight! Delicious fresh pasta! Tortelini with spinach and ricota. I'm still deciding whether to make my secret cheese sauce or to make some fresh pesto. :P
