Weekly Photo

The usually unseen Portugal.
This place is Neves Corvo, a mining facility in Alentejo, southern Portugal.
Not a place that is open to tourists, although from time to time they do allow tours in.
Being married to a geologist has its perks too.

tall glass: GH sometimes makes me stop the car and double back for miles just for a picture. Or face a storm up the mountain. Or walk the edge of a very high cliff. Not sure if she wants to annoy me or become a widow... but so far it has been fun.
