Have a nice weekend
-Incredible! Friday is probably the best day to see who are those people you don't like and those you only put up with because you have to!
- Where did that come from?
- Your normal “Have a nice weekend” as opposed to “see’ya Monday” or “bye”.
- What?
- You won't wish a nice weekend to those you don't like, isn’t it?
- Yup, why should I do otherwise?
- To be nice?
- Right Sherlock, see’ya Monday.
He actually was right, I really never wish a nice weekend, or any other nice thing for that matter, to someone I really don’t like. If I don't mean it I won't say it.
Why the hypocrisy? If I like someone or if that person is kind of indifferent to me I am rather friendly. To "the others" I am still polite and civil, but not friendly.
Well, have a nice weekend everybody!

likewise :)...
Have a good weekend :-)
Politeness is essential but there is a point where a line has to be drawn.
I dread New Year in my multicultural office, many people adopt the Belgian practice of kissing everyone twice on each cheek to say happy new year, and the office groper lives for this opportunity to get way too close. Yeuuuch.
After twelve years of it I decided I'd had enough and walked around all January 2nd and 3rd 2005 with a sign with "Please don't kiss me" on it in several languages, hung round my neck.
It's a bit harsh and some people were offended, so this year I think I'll fake a bad cold instead.
Happy weekend everyone!
Y'know Dcver, I never did think of it. But it's true. I'm polite but I do draw the line. In fact, there's a troll I don't speak to, the lech.
Aunty Marianne, I can't imagine someone I don't like kissing me, left cheek, right cheek. My mother has a cousin I dislike. He always INSISTS I kiss his cheek. Ewwww. I always tell him no.
tall glass: It won't be that great, with the Atlantic pond between us, but thanks.
marianne: You surely know Portuguese people and you know we always kiss, but when gropers are concerned I've seen several female friends being a lot harsher than wearing a sign.
GG: I bet you draw a line. You don't strike me like someone who can be crossed without punishment.
To all the others: thank you!
Even people you don't work with say it, people at stores. I don't know why, but it annoys me. So superficial.
ohh, glad you like us!!!
kris: It doesn't bother me much saying it to a stranger or to someone I don't really care about. But to someone I dislike... nope, I can't do it.
ale: At least some of you, yeah. Haven't you noticed?
