Tourist in my own town - day 1

30072005(004)
Our friend arrived at about lunchtime, so we took her to the eastern part of town to have lunch.
The area where the world exposition was held in ’98 is now a pleasant riverside promenade with restaurants, bars, and gardens.
Then we drove to our home, gave her some time to rest, had dinner and then headed to the beach for a short stroll and a nice sunset.

tacit: the first meal wasn't a typical portuguese meal, in fact it was a brazillian meal: rodizio de carne, several kinds of meat from different animals barbecued, served with salads, rice, beans, fried bananas and a lot more, and a few caipirinhas to go along...

to all the others: I guess I can post the other days of her visit then...

You just gave me a mini-vacation tour there...for free :-D Beautiful!

Maybe you've inspired others to do the same, to look around and appreciate their surroundings.
