Dinner Time Quiz #5
This time instead of the finished look I'll leave you with the pre-oven scenery...
In ancient times, before the discovery of the 'New World' potatoes were not part of the European diet, most dishes were served with turnips, chest nuts and other side dishes.
In Portugal we still have the tradition of preparing some dishes in the old fashioned way from time to time.
To ensure the proper quality of the ingredients used the chef must sometimes have a taste of the said ingredients, hence the white wine glass. It is strictly a quality issue, I wasn't trying to get wasted!
So... any guesses?

Wine on a Monday? You Bohemian you. If there's any leftover food you can save it for me, and any leftover wine too.
Potatoes and cheese and...and...I'm HUNGRY you and Cream are going to make all us bloggers fat!!!!
Beats me! I like the little cows though.
dan: Sorry mate, had a couple of friends crashing for dinner and there are no leftovers.
GG: Sorry gal, no potatoes nor cheese in it.
viking: And they are the only two cows on the pic, the meat is something else.
isis: No pecan nuts either. There is meat, plenty of it.
How about pork loin?
I found this classy site for Portuguese Cuisine !
I put rabbit and walnuts together and found Coelho com Nozes...Is that it, DC?
viking: Yup, pork loin it is, seasoned with mustard, honey, and white wine.
cream: If you had click sites, Portuguese Sites, Gastronomias on my links section you'd have found it too! That is one of my sources.
Coelho com nozes is rabbit with walnuts.
Haven't tried it though.
Sadly that gastronomias site is in Portuguese only.

kris: The new place as black stone counter tops. They look even nicer than these ones.
