Hang Bob! Hang Bob!

Git’ him rope! Hang him fer a tree! Hang him! Hang Bob Geldof!
He’s not poor enough to be fund raising fer poor black people!

Does it sound stupid enough?
Sorry, this is what this review by Stubbs sounded like when I read it.
This guy is right in some issues: these concerts will not solve Africa’s problems; most of the stars have huge fortunes; some of the stars are something of a "has been" (though for someone that writes this review mentioning Sir Elton John and omitting Robin Williams, who is currently the ‘brightest star’ in the UK…); the logo is in fact corny; etc…
But the tone of the review is that of a personal attack to Geldof. Even the pic he has chosen of Geldof drinking is a bit of a parody.
Maybe Geldof is not hard enough on his comments. He doesn’t look or act ‘punk’ anymore. Hell! But he is trying to do something. And actually is getting lots of funding for aid projects, not just with these concerts. What has David Stubbs done to have the right to be judge and jury over Geldof? Who the heck is Stubbs to throw the first stone? Oh, I forgot, the guy is a critic, those are above all things living and inanimate. Sorry Stubbs, gather yer lynching mob and hang Bob…
