Unfortunately this place is in Portugal. Please, don't ask me how this came to happen. I have no idea. Somehow maybe it is a good thing we don't know how it happened.

clearly needed the tree so they'd have somewhere to put the warning sign. completely logical.
The thing in the middle of the road...is it a pole or a tree?
Whatever it is, it grew overnight. How else can you explain this then?
It is a pole alright, a cement pole for electricity or telephone cables.
And either it grew overnight, or road crawled underneath it, or it just walked there... if any of this explanations fails, perhaps someone was dumb enough to place the road or the pole there by mistake.
