Life is not simple
And whoever says it is so is wrong!
Nothing in life is really simple.
Everything is complex and most of the time chaotic.
Probably everything in nature is complex, why should our life be simple.
If everything was simple, we could do whatever we wanted whenever we felt like doing it.
The truth is everything we do will have an impact on ourselves, on those around us, on everybody’s future.
Everybody heard the story of the butterfly in Japan causing a cyclone in Florida, I guess.
The same idea could be applied to human relations, two people meet and a couple of decades later the world comes to an end (or someone comes up with the script for Terminator XXIV).
And this would be one great excuse for me not to interfere with other people’s love life.
But I do not need an excuse!
I will not do it because I do not like the idea.
Sorry for this rant, a friend of mine wanted me to play Cupid…

Hola! :) You never mentioned you had a blog!!!
Look how I found you...
Thought you knew it... sorry.
Yeah, if there's anything I've learned over the past couple of weeks, it's NOT TO SET PEOPLE UP!!! It's not going to work.
And you're absolutely right, nothing is simple and it really shouldn't be.
You are absolutely correct. This is a terrific post and the rant was absolutely valid.
Thank you so much for you visit to my site and your valuable input!
Was it to introduce two people? Or was it to help solve a fight between an already established couple?
What I have learned from my life's experience? It's not nice to meddle in someone's personal life. And it's pity that so many people do not understand of this easy thing. Even if you did something good for a couple you're not guaranteed that some day this 'good thing' will not turn 'bad' and they will not blame you.
That's why I always keep myself aside of other's close relationships. I think that the only thing you can do is to advise something but only with your 'IMHO signature'.

dcver - oh :) blame them too!
You know that old African saying, it takes a village to bring up a child...something like that?
Well, it's that way with us here, it takes a family, the community to make the marriage happen, everybody has something to say, opinion, who cares about who gets angry and so on.
We are shameless. It annoys me, it amuses me.
I don't mind doing my part helping to raise their children, should they be born. But I will not be the one to make sure those children are born. As we say in Portugal: “Também precisam que alguém vá abanar a cama?” Meaning: “Do they also need someone to shake their bed?” I am a bit of a Darwinist creature about this: if they are unfit to date, unfit to get married, unfit to procreate, than it might be best if they are removed from the gene pool.
Yes, that's true, very true, if a couple just can't work as a couple, they should NOT produce children. I get very, VERY upset about dysfunctional couples who bring children into the world, then the little ones suffers.
Some Guyanese would tell them straight out, you two should not be together :-D We're a tactless set of people, suffering from foot in mouth haha...
Yeah, I think you should just not get involved. Being a good friend means listening to them and being there for them, not necessarily hooking them up with anyone. :) Good luck.
