Poor computer. Now, if only real life was like a comic book, a power surge would make your computer super-powerful. It would go on a rampage and take over the world.

Well, Murphy being the jerk he is, he'd of course have to go and strike your computer while GH is so far away and work is driving you mad. Hey, if you want, I'll put a hit out on that Murphy guy! Hey, what are uber-friends for if not a whack job every now and then, hm?
I always carry a hammer with me! It doesn't always fix everything but, by god, I do feel better afterwards. Never used it on a computer, yet. What's your advice on this, DC?
I feel just as stranded without my computer as I do without a car - hope it is up soon.

Sorry to hear this dc... this happened to me when I first moved to Hawaii, where a Tripp Lite is essential equipment.
it's a plague, but not a virus. Sorry to hear - will be watching for your reappearance.

lisa: I would say the same thing when it happened, but now that the problem is solved I realize I didn't miss it that much, probably cuz I didn't have the free time to miss it.

kris: I have power surge protection, but I had been doing some things around here and I by-passed it. I know, I know, not the smartest move...
